Magnetic Filters for Heating Systems

Reliable Protection for Heating and Metering Systems

The magnetic filter reliably protects heating systems from contaminants and magnetic particles. It combines a high-quality screen filter with a powerful magnetic insert and removes both solid contaminants and ferrous magnetic sludge from the heating water.

Installation upstream of metering and control devices as well as heat meters is particularly recommended to ensure their long-term functionality and service life.

How It Works

The heating water flows through the integrated filter mesh, which reliably traps dirt particles and solids. At the same time, the strong permanent magnet captures ferrous deposits and magnetic sludge that form due to corrosion within the heating system. This effectively protects sensitive components from wear and malfunctions.

High-Quality Construction

  • Flange version made of robust gray cast iron
  • Threaded version made of high-quality brass
  • Filter mesh made of phosphor bronze or stainless steel
  • High-performance magnetic insert for separating magnetic particles
  • Ideal for protecting heat meters, measuring devices, and control valves

Maintenance and Cleaning

To ensure consistently high filter performance, the magnetic filter should be cleaned immediately after the heating system is first put into operation. This reliably removes any residues from assembly and installation.

Thereafter, cleaning is recommended at intervals of approximately 6 months. For systems with increased scale or corrosion buildup, shorter maintenance intervals may be advisable.

Important Note: For magnetic filters with flanged connections, the inspection cover must not be removed, as this can damage or destroy the magnetic insert.

Your Benefits

  • Effective removal of dirt and iron-containing magnetic sludge
  • Optimal protection for heat meters, pumps, and measurement and control technology
  • Extends the service life of the heating system
  • Reduces maintenance requirements and operational malfunctions
  • Robust, durable construction for professional use
